| KAEFER Australia was first established in 1973 as ‘Bains Harding Pty Ltd’. It remained a private company until 1987 when it became publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. In 2001 the German Insulation Company KAEFER Isoliertechnik GmbH & Co KG acquired 60% of BH shares becoming the majority share holder. Four years later the KAEFER Group took a 100% ownership and delisted KAEFER Australia. | KAEFER Germany’s roots and tradition, however, reach even further back. Carl Kaefer founded KAEFER in 1918 in Bremen, Germany - focusing on insulation in the field of shipbuilding. In 1950 the company branched out into other areas within Germany. Once the company had a strong hold within the German borders, KAEFER grew expanding into other European countries. In 1980 the then KAEFER Group established its first overseas subsidiaries. | ||||||

| KAEFER Australia is a West Australian company which operates project and maintenance contracts throughout the continent and has established offices in almost all states and territories. With a workforce of around 350 employees KAEFER is represented on most of the major sites around Australia. KAEFER Australia is head-quartered out of Perth, Western Australia and has one regional office on the east coast, namely in Brisbane. In addition, KAEFER has established site offices at Alcan Gove (NT), QAL (QLD), Caltex (QLD), Qenos (NSW), Qenos (VIC), in Port Augusta and Torrens Island (SA), BP Refinery (WA), CSBP Kwinana (WA), Muja Power Station (WA), and a Workshop in Osborne Park (WA). | While the focus remains on our local market, KAEFER Integrated Services has been fully integrated in KAEFER South East Asia (SEA) and the KAEFER Group. KAEFER SEA has full scale operations in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Korea. Furthermore, the KAEFER Group is active in over 35 countries and has a workforce of over 9000 employees. The advantage of KAEFER to its clients is its ability to be a local partner for national and international executed projects. | ||||||
